According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to September 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 12,000 tons, representing a year-on-year decrease of 13.75% compared to the same period in 2024. The export value amounted to RMB 3.839 billion, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 2.42%.
From January to September 2025, China exported:
Tungstic acid: 201.51 tons, a year-on-year increase of 207.17%.
Sodium tungstate: 213.12 tons, a year-on-year increase of 932.01%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 2,485.92 tons, a year-on-year increase of 66.69%.
Ferro-tungsten: 1,750.14 tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.44%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 1,805.39 tons, a year-on-year increase of 231.65%.
Tungsten wire: 304.35 tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.72%.
Tungsten trioxides: 953.06 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 57.87%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 417.77 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 58.08%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 291.30 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.04%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 222.50 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 54.47%.
Carbides of tungsten: 1,371.90 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 55.72%.
Tungsten powders: 1,099.57 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.44%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 285.20 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 39.69%.
Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 302.11 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 48.25%.
Additionally, from January to September 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 1,175.70 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.54%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 1,375.32 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.88%.
